It’s no secret that the Hispanic world has an impressive reputation. The food, the music, the weather… whatever it may be, there are so many reasons to want to know and explore Spain, and knowing Spanish is the key!
Learning a language is not easy, so why do we do it? There are more than 585400 million Spanish speakers in the world, and not all are native speakers.
It’s obvious that there is something special about this language that attracts new learners each year, including me. Today I have thought about the reasons behind my decision to study with Spanish Express.
This language is an accessible and popular language with foreigners. The pronunciation is fairly simple in comparison with French because you say what you read.
Although you can study Spanish in school nowadays, many Brits choose to study this language for this reason, and because they have good memories of holidays in Spain and they want to explore the country more.
Also, if you’re able to speak the language during your visit to Spain or any other Spanish-speaking country, you will have a totally different and unforgettable experience. You’ll be able to communicate with the locals and experience the real Spain.
It’s important to note the economic reasons too. Learning another language can open doors and create work opportunities in the future.
I studied DELE B2 with Mónica at Spanish Express. I wanted to continue learning because I wanted to gain a qualification from the Instituto Cervantes, as it’s recognized worldwide.
Knowing how to speak multiple languages is a very important skill in our society, especially now with the labour market becoming so competitive. I worked in Madrid, something that I don’t think I’d have done if I hadn’t studied this language. In fact, the majority of employers and universities require a minimum B1 level.
You can find all of our DELE programmes on our website.
There are so many reasons to learn this language. Why not start today?
