Our host Spanish teachers in Barcelona are native Spanish speakers certified in teaching Spanish. They give you private lessons and prepare your language courses as per your requirements from general and business Spanish courses to official exams or specific university degree courses.
Mónica is the founder and director of Spanish Homestay Immersion Programme, a division of Spanish Express. Originating from Menorca and boasting a diverse blend of Catalan, Castilian, French, and Argentinean heritage, she proudly identifies as a global citizen.
Having relocated to Barcelona for her initial university studies, Mónica made her way to London nearly 30 years ago — a city she fell in love with during her first visit at the age of 14. Currently, she divides her time between Spain and the UK to enjoy the best of both worlds.
María Fernanda, affectionately known as Nanda, is your host teacher in Barcelona, in the Costa del Garraf, with a heart deeply rooted in the coastal beauty of Castelldefels. A scholar in Hispanic Philology, her passion for literature from the Golden Age to contemporary crime novels enriches her Spanish language teachings.
Since 2018, Nanda has dedicated herself to teaching Spanish, bringing the nuances of language alive with her published cookbook and the joy of sharing meals. Her classes are a blend of academic rigour and the zest of Spanish culture, frequently incorporating cooking classes and cultural activities.

She also has more than 10 years of experience as a copywriter in Spanish, she has a degree in Advertising from the Complutense University of Madrid (1989-1994). Ana also works as a freelance transcreator, blending her deep understanding of local culture and language into her intensive courses.
