The New Castle is the most emblematic symbol of Llinars. In 1983, it was declared a Cultural Property of National Interest and considered one of Catalonia’s best Renaissance palaces. The castle, completed in 1558, has a square plan and is built around the courtyard.

Venture into the heights and climb to La Torrassa del Moro, a remarkable watchtower in Llinars del Vallès.
The Torrassa, declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest, was restored in 2011. Believed to have housed a coin from Emperor Gordian’s era, its exact dating is unclear. Traditionally, it served as a warning point for peasants to hide livestock from Moorish tax collectors. In the early 20th century, it became a hunting lodge but fell into neglect mid-century, suffering looting and vandalism. It was sealed in the 90s.
The main attraction is the stunning panoramic views from the terrace viewpoint. The round tower measures 560 centimeters in diameter and about 12 meters in height.
