To give us a boost, there is a very inspiring tradition, Keeping New Year Resolutions!
New year, new life… or at least that is the illusion we all have with the departure of the old year.
This 365-day opportunity to write a new story or adopt a new year resolution motivates us to have goals and plans that we can carry out over the year.
This list of goals and wishes made before the start of the new year, or at the beginning of the year, helps us to have a clearer focus on what we want to do.
I am writing this blog to help you find your goal for 2025 among so many New Year’s resolutions available.
Firstly, I have listed 30 common New Year’s resolution ideas that people tend to adopt. Secondly, there is another list of 20 unique New Year’s resolution ideas that are rare but motivating enough to keep you energetic throughout the year.
And last, you will see my favourite New Year’s resolution that I opted for just 3 years ago, and it helped me boost my career and land numerous high-paying part-time jobs.
So, read through the lists and find your own goal for 2025.
Why You Must Have a New Year’s Resolution?
While New Year’s resolutions can inspire you to achieve the goals you want to accomplish, it also serves as a guide.
Putting down on paper the desires you want to see fulfilled can help you visualise in a better way what you want to achieve.
Having it written down gives you an order and lets you think about where to start first and what steps you must follow to get what you want.
Having an idea in your head is not the same as having it written down in a place that will allow you to organise and visualise it.
Of course, New Year’s resolutions are not a magic act. You must know your limits and your availability for each goal you set. Being realistic about what you can do in a year will take away the pressure of wanting to do everything in a short time, it is better to take one step at a time.
Only you know your limits but don’t forget that you are capable of achieving what you want with the right organization. This is an excellent tool if the organization is not your forte.
So start writing! You still have time to have a resolution sheet. Make sure not to write too many resolutions or unrealistic goals and just have a few that are doable.
